Q: What kind of water should I use?
A: You'll never go wrong with distilled water, filtered water, or purified water. Oftentimes regular tap water will work just fine if the mineral and chlorine level aren't too high. If you use a water softener the salt content will be too high.
Q: Does the water need to be hot or cold?
A: Osmosis through the feet works much better when the water is warm to hot.
Q: Does it matter what type or brand of salt I use?
A: No, regular table-salt works just fine. You can also use sea-salt or other natural salts.
Q: Can I extend the life of the Ionator?
A: Yes, if you use Muriatic Acid to clean the Ionator it will extend the life an extra 20 or more applications. You rinse the Ionator off, using tap water, then dip the Ionator in Muriatic Acid and rinse off with water again. The Acid will eat any rust beginning to form but won't harm the metal if dipped for several seconds. Muriatic Acid is usually available at home supply centers or janitorial supply stores.
Q. Will the water ever be totally clear?
A. No, there is always a little color that leaches from the Ionator as well as impurities that are drawn from the plastic liner and water. However, if you send 2 samples to a lab, one without placing a client's feet in the water and the other with, the lab can tell the difference. Also, you will find a strong odor coming from the client's water sample compared to almost no smell form the one using the Ionator and water only.
Q. Who will benefit from a treatment?
A. Most everyone will benefit from a treatment, because of the high toxic load in our environment that can slowly build up in an individual's body. Those with musculoskeletal disorders notice the biggest changes. Some clinics are finding that it also helps athletes recover faster and reduce inflammation and lactic acid buildup.
Q. What material is the Ionator made of?
A. High grade stainless steel; in fact, it is one grade below surgical stainless steel.
